Reflection: Today I remember my friend, neighbor and fellow canine, Lily. She was a good ol' girl who fell ill and went to doggie heaven last night. We just never know how much time we have with our human companions, do we? Lily's human gave her such a great home with lots of walks and even running. Lots of treats and a great yard to lay in while keeping watch over her home.
My wish is that all of us (canines and humans) take time to remember that life can be short and unexpected. So take time to love and be kind to one another just as Lily and her human did.
Adventure: My favorite thing in the whole world is going for my walk with Annette. The smells, sights, sounds... *sigh. My last adventure (see previous blog entry) was coming face to face, well....face to shell, with a turtle. Today I found out what a garter snake is. Not one, but TWO garter snakes crossed my walking path today. I've never seen one before and they are fast! They also do a good job at changing directions as they move along and this really threw me off. Before I knew it I had lost them. Oh well...maybe I'll see them next time.
Speaking of the trail....the grass around the trail is getting nice and tall. Good for hiding!
Advice: This is for the good of all. It is that time of year when not only cool critters are out, like turtles and snakes, but there are also a fair amount of not so cool critters lurking. TICKS being my least favorite. Second least favorite? You guessed it...FLEAS. So HUMANS...please remember to take the time to give us our monthly flea and tick prevention medicine. It only takes a second but it protects us from the uncool critters lurking in the tall grass (see below). HAVE A SAFE AND CRITTER FREE WEEKEND!
